ATR - Day 65: Left Nagpur for Melghat Tiger Reserve; arrived at Shahnoor; little to no connectivity here
We came to Melghat Tiger Reserve from Nagpur today, and the connectivity here is worse than abysmal. So all communications, including newsletter and Vlog uploads, will be doubtlessly delayed.

Today was, once again, a travel day as we had to leave Nagpur for Melghat Tiger Reserve, our next destination that is spread across the three districts of Amravati, Akola and Buldhana in the State of Maharashtra. Like I mentioned earlier, the morning safari was anyway not feasible because of the distance from our place of stay, so we got up relatively late. I had a meeting with a forest official in the afternoon, after which I met and spent some quality time with a wildlife photographer of much renown and his wife. Since we have known each other for a while, it was a relaxed exchange over coffee about wildlife, photography, animals, jungles and such other things that wildlife photographers talk and rant about every single time they meet.
Late in the afternoon, we left for Melghat Tiger Reserve and arrived at our current place of stay, Shahnoor Tourist Sankul, which is a very basic forest guest house located in village Popatkhed of Tehsil Ankot of District Akola. You can expect all the basic facilities on this location but there are no luxuries.
The internet connectivity is pretty bad here. In fact, let alone internet connectivity, there is little connectivity of any kind at the spot. It’s hard even to make and receive phone calls, let alone upload high-definition or even low-resolution videos to YouTube. I don’t think any Vlog is going to go live in time as long as we are here. The same goes for the newsletters as well. Please bear with us.
