The morning safari at Melghat Tiger Reserve today was completely dry in terms of tiger sighting as well as any kind of good pictures, for I could not find a good wildlife visual to capture during the entire safari. And then there was no time left, for we had to leave for Aurangabad in the afternoon. So we got back from safari, packed our things and left for Aurangabad. It took us about six hours to reach here.
On our way back, we stopped for lunch at this wonderful restaurant called Veera Da Dhaba, owned by Mr. Sagar, who had invited us to visit his restaurant when we passed by, which we did today. He had met us at Akola, which is when he had invited us over.
Traveling to Aurangabad, I couldn’t help noticing that the highways have been bettered a great deal. The one that we travelled by to Aurangabad is a 701-kilometer long highway called the Mumbai-Nagpur Highway (also known as Samruddhi Mahamarg) and was thrown open to public last year on December 11, 2022. It made the travel super easy and comfortable. But this is not to say that the National Highways elsewhere are any less, in any respect. Just that this one is the shiny new thing, so it drew my attention to the excellent work that has been done on our highways in the last 15-20 years.
It was my parents’ anniversary and my father decided to give my mother, who is traveling with us currently, an anniversary surprise. And since it was a surprise, we had to keep it on the hush. So immediately after we arrived in Aurangabad, we went to pick my father up and bring him to our place and then he proceeded to present himself as surprise, which was great fun. Mummy Khurana was overwhelmed, some of which we caught on camera and the glimpses of which you will get to see in one of our forthcoming Vlogs. Today’s Vlog is live now!
